Case Study - The Parish York

St. John’s Church in York dates back to the 12th century. It was deconsecrated in 1938 and had various uses before finally closing in 2000. Using specialist design skills and our experience with listed buildings Kent Building Developments converted the ancient building into the Award winning Parish bar and restaurant.

The entire project, valued at £1.7 million, was managed entirely by Kent Building Developments. The converted building retains the building’s historic features which includes the church’s six massive iron bells and restored ceiling. At the same time The Parish provides top quality and stylish comfort, including a commercial kitchen and state of the art sound and light system.
